Awards

With the Architects of the Future Award the community is extended every year. In a worldwide selection process between ten and twelve of the most inspiring young social entrepreneurs are being selected, given the award and welcomed to the AOF community that currently has 70 members.

The nomination for the Architects of the Future Awards is proceeded in cooperation with the world’s most renowned organizations in the field social entrepreneurship. The candidates are selected by an Austrian jury that consists of socially committed figures from all fields of society.

In the selection process particular attention is paid to the personality of the award winners, their inner motivations and the idea and effect of their project. Apart from these criteria the jury focusses on an equal balance of genders and geographical impact.

Waldzell Collection

A special honor is the affiliation of the architect’s projects to the Waldzell Collection in the historic library in the abbey of Melk. The Waldzell Collection is a compilation of selected life works of significant contemporary figures preserved for future generations.
